The Fourteen Days of Valentines 2013

It's nearly time for my favorite holiday season of the year. For those of you new to the Fourteen Days of Valentines, here is a quick rundown of the ways of celebrating.

  • Wear something pink or red everyday (or purple if you're desperate)
  • Eat some chocolate every day (and I have a game for this to make it even more fun!)
  • Find a new quote about love every day
  • Listen to love songs everyday. Which leads to the other rule of...
  • NO BREAKUP SONGS. What the heck would we want to listen to that for? I suggest stocking up on it now so you don't miss it too much.
  • Show love by doing at least one act of kindness every day. It doesn't have to be random. It doesn't have to be only one in number. It just has to be driven by love.
  • Pick a love song of the day, just for fun.

Now. This year I will be doing things on the blog a little differently, and we'll see if it works. I will be posting these things every day.
  • My V-Day approved outfit
  • My love quote - and thoughts upon it
  • My love song of the day
  • How many additions I have in the love game I have (don't worry, I will explain the love game later)
In addition to me posting these things, I encourage YOU to participate. There are several ways to do this.
  • Email me how you are celebrating each day (outfit, love quote, song, etc.) at molly.mormon88 at gmail dot com
  • Leave a comment of how you are celebrating
  • Facebook how you are celebrating and tag me. If we're not friends on FB you can either email me the link or include a link to my Valentine's posts on your FB posts so everyone can join in on the fun.

So really. Let's spread the love of Valentines Day.

Love Game Instructions:
-First get some chocolate (I have found m&ms work best)
-Next, writing utensils and paper and/or notecards
-Place the paper/notecards next to the chocolate
-Whenever you want to eat that chocolate, you have to write down something you love.
-Repeats are only allowed when you truly feel a burst of joy and love for something, and at least 24 hours       have passed since its last appearance in the game.

To get you in the mood (and waste time!), here are previous Valentines Day posts

Lynette, this is Megan (Henrie) Thorley, co-pioneer of the original 14 days of Valentine's day. I don't know how I came across this but I am so happy to see that you have kept this tradition alive. I always think of you this time of year and become nostalgic for the good times! Thanks for your positive perspective and for spreading the love! Let's get in touch!
