Everybody

I have intimated in past posts that this 14 Days of Valentines has been less than ideal. I have found it is more difficult to celebrate when you're not living in the midst of all your best friends/other young adults. I have also been having a real stressful week in regards to a lot of different things. But I will tell you what kept me going.

The spirit of Valentines Day!

But really.

Even when I was in a terrible mood and just wanted to stay home all day and watch  Netflix, I was bombarded by many of my friends and acquaintances who are fulfilling the 14 Days of Valentines. I have seen daily posts on what people love, why they love, love poems, love songs, etc. And even though I wasn't up to posting and finding any myself (I am one of those annoying people who lives so completely in their emotions that I wouldn't have been able to pretend on the internet that I was full of love, or even had any) I was so touched by those of you who did.  Especially because many of those people I know have come to celebrate/appreciate Valentines Day because I initially forced it upon them. ;)

So THANK YOU to those of you who have been practicing Valentines Day, and who have made me feel the love a little bit. Which brings me to the point of this post today.

I think that everybody wants to love. I think there's a reason that I've been able to spread the love of Valentines Day to my friends and acquaintances throughout the years. It's because we naturally want to love, So why don't we just do it?
Ps this fantastic man is coming to Salt Lake on March 2 with Secondhand Serenade.
You should go.
Now yes, loving means you'll get hurt. But hey. Being hurt actually makes you stronger. I mean, that's not just an awesome Kelly Clarkson song, it's like a physiological fact. Your muscles build by being torn and then rebuilding. Like. Real life.

So just let yourself love. Choose joy. It may seem harder in the moment but let me tell you, it's much less exhausting in the long run. Because while being mad, angry, sad, etc., drain you of energy, being full of love and joy actually increases that energy. I am a testament to that, last week I was constantly tired, and this week even though I feel a cold coming on, I have much more energy.

Now get ready. Because it's tomorrow. And it's going to be awesome. If you want it to be. Because...

I hate that I just saw this, but in my defense I didn't think there was a new blog post because you didn't post it on facebook. I know, that is a lame excuse. BUT I saw it now and it is FANTASTIC!!!
