Song of the Day
Dear to the Heart of the Shepherd
About a month ago we had a fireside about our Stake goals for the year. Our theme is "Feed My Lambs", so of course this we sang this as the opening song. My favorite line in this song, and the one that I think captures the essence of the love of our Savior, that pure love is at the end of the third verse.
Bringing them in with rejoicing
Saved at such infinite cost
Through our Savior we were saved at the infinite cost of his life, which means that is how much we are worth to him. It's important to love our Savior, to love others as He loves them, and to love ourselves as He loves us. Love that equals an infinite cost so you know, I've got serious miles to go.
Quote of the Day
"The final phrase in my declarative statement is "I love it." Gaining a knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ and diligently living gospel principles in our everyday lives leads many members of the Church to exclaim enthusiastically, "I love the gospel!"
-Anne M. Dibb, "I Know It. I Live It. I Love It."
Some of my friends have been using the 14 days of valentines to talk about the things, events, experiences, etc., that they love in their lives. So I thought I would take some time with this quote to tell you perhaps the biggest thing I love in my life, and that is the Gospel. I know it. I live it (or at least try to). I love it.
