Slowly. Losing. Momentum.

To all of you spring-break-less Cougars out there, this is for you.

It's always about this time in the semester that I start getting addicted to TV shows or reading a book for fun (scandalous!) in lieu of the homework/studying that should be happen. Sure it isn't warm yet because springtime is Mother Nature's equivalent of a menstrual cycle but it looks like it could be warm. And birds sing sometimes.

This is all compounded by the fact that this Saturday I have my very first Saturday, of the entire semester, in which I have absolutely nothing scheduled. No out-of-town shows with the folk dance team, no rehearsals, nothing.

The anticipation of this Saturday has an interesting effect on me. It doesn't push me to finish homework before then so I can relax. No, you see I have a disease, it's called "Saturday-morning-is-the-best-flippin-time-for-homework-on-earth". Dont' fear, it's not catching. But because of it, instead of doing my homework every night I do things like writing in my blog. Or dancing to the Jo Bros. (You better believe I just made that reference.)

Hahaha, can I just say that I love your use of the word menstruating? But you're definitely right. In fact, I think it'd be fun to start referring to spring simply as "Menstruation"...

Today I heard someone refer to it as "Sprinter". I thought that was another fitting name for it.

It took me a second, but I got it.
